2009 Virtuoso Symposium Update by Michelle Holmes, General Manager, Travel and Transport Vacations
Sunday, April 26, 2009
Today was an enlightening day at the 2009 Virtuoso Symposium. We had individual meetings with suppliers to talk about properties and services. These were excellent sessions; very intimate conversations with suppliers from all around the world.
After the morning sessions, we had free time to explore the city before our evening event. I spend my time at the bridge and enjoyed time at one of the restaurants facing the incredible opera house! What a spectacular sight! I later enjoyed walking in the area to the botanical gardens and the Rocks which is where the local vendors bring their handmade jewelry, clothing, scarves and other Australian art.
Tonight we had our formal affair. We enjoyed a private concert at the opera house. The talent combined with the acoustics of the Sydney Opera house was such an awesome experience - very moving and brought tears to my eyes.
The night ended with dinner at the harbor at the base of the opera house. Spectacular view of the harbor, bridge, city, etc. My evening ended with a fireworks display.
This was an amazing event and experience and I feel very fortunate that I was able to attend and represent Travel and Transport Vacations.
